The intent is to create a visual transposition of the distinctive sign of each individual; the project also represents a criticism of the negative imprint that man leaves on Earth. The interaction with the surface that metaphorically represents our planet pushes us to consider the impact of our actions on the environment. Every sign left, every trace imprinted, can be interpreted as a metaphor for our impact on the ecosystem.
Signum invites us to reflect on the responsibility that everyone has towards the planet and to consider whether our footprints are signs of respect and care, or of exploitation and destruction. Using chocolate and the chemical construction of rocks, a surface has been created with which each person can interact, inviting exploration and self-discovery; the path proposed by the surface allows each individual to interact in a personal and intuitive way.
Every gesture, every touch, every pressure leaves a unique imprint, a distinctive sign that reveals the personality and way of being of those who created it. Interaction is the key to understanding the project, the fulcrum around which the entire experience revolves.
The analysis of the signs left, their graphic transposition and the careful observation of the type of interaction that is established between the surface and the individual, allow us to grasp nuances and details that would otherwise remain hidden. Signum presents itself as an instrument of introspection, an invitation to reflect on one's uniqueness and one's ability to leave an indelible mark on the world.
